Your Connections Matter: How They Impact Your Burnout Level

A weekly newsletter to help high achievers (a.k.a over-achievers) reach their potential and make a difference.

The most important GPS in life isn't your phone—it's your connections.

You know that moment when you're trying to navigate somewhere new, but your phone keeps "searching for a signal"? Before phones, I used a GPS to navigate directions, except it used satellites to navigate. I purchased my first GPS in 2006 after getting completely and utterly lost on my first few trips to Boston (those of you who know Boston understand what I’m talking about). Before that, I was using printed Mapquest directions to navigate on trips, and before that, a road atlas (anyone remember those?). Here’s what I discovered with all of them:

Without knowing your starting point, you'll remain lost whether you know your destination or not.

I'm working on something that could help with a similar challenge – finding your way to more wholeness and balance when you're experiencing burnout symptoms. But just like any journey, you have to know your starting point.

This week, I'm exploring the RELATIONAL dimension of burnout.

A few years ago, I went through a very challenging season with one of my children. During one particularly intense two-week period, my two closest friends were in constant communication with me. They reached out to me almost daily to check in and offer support. It was a great strength to know I had people in my corner. Not having the right relational support can lead to burnout.

Will you take ONE minute to respond to this ONE-question survey about relational burnout?

SHARE YOUR RESPONSE HERE >>

Your input will help shape a burnout quiz and assessment that helps you (and others) recognize your patterns and find your way back to authentic connection.

Your response is entirely confidential and will help me create a better assessment tool for business owners, entrepreneurs, leaders, and high achievers like you who might be navigating burnout and overwhelm.

Thanks for being part of this journey with me.

Until next time,

P.S. This is part of a bigger project I'm working on – a burnout quiz and assessment to help identify where you might be on the burnout spectrum so you can find your way back to wholeness and balance. I'm building it with input from people like you, because the same pat advice about "sleep more, drink water" isn't cutting it anymore.
